At SevenSeas Voyages, we represent all accredited cruise lines.

There are four major cruise line segments: Premium/Contemporary; Luxury; Specialty and Riverboat Cruises.  Scroll down to read a description of each segment and view the cruise lines we represent.

Types of Cruise Lines

Premium or Contemporary cruise lines include larger ships, typically with capacities of 2,000 to 5,000 plus passengers.  They offer extensive options for accommodation, itineraries and on-board activities including rock-climbing. ice skating and surfing.  Some even have mini-streets that contain shops and restaurants.  All offer quality Broadway and Las Vegas style shows,  numerous themed lounges and music venues and an extensive list and variety of shore excursions.

Luxury cruise lines offer small, luxurious ships with larger/grander accommodations and public areas, sumptuous dining, and superb entertainment.  The size of the ships allows these cruise lines to visit smaller, less-frequented ports of call.

Specialty cruise lines offer more intimate and/or adventurous worldwide cruise experiences including venues such as the Galapagos Islands, Tahiti and the Society Islands, Costa Rica and small Alaska ports.  Multiple activities are offered including scuba diving, sportfishing and hands-on sailing experiences.

Riverboats primarily travel the famous and beautiful rivers of Europe, Russia, China and North America.  The ships are small, less than 200 passengers, and intimate.  Their primary purpose is to visit unique and historic ports and to provide for the viewing of incredible landscapes possible only from sailing on a riverboat.  The pace is liesurely and the port visits unhurried.  Many shore excursions are included in the price of the cruise with optional tours available for an additional charge.  The food on board is excellent and geared to the local surroundings.  Typically, wine is included at dinner.  Entertainment is limited and usually includes local/folkloric performances.  There are no casinos on board.
