Types of Pilgrimages

1) Sectarian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

In religion and spirituality, a pilgrimage is a long journey or search of a great moral significance.  Sometimes, it is a journey to a shrine of importance to a person’s beliefs and faith.  Members of many major religions participate in pilgrimages.  A person who makes such a journey is called a pilgrim.

2) Non-Sectarian

There are many other types of non-religious pilgrimages such as ancestral.  For example, a group of relatives travels to their country of origin to explore and experience their roots; an Irish family travels to Ireland, an Italian family travels to Italy, etc.

Fund raising:

Many sectarian and non-sectarian groups use pilgrimages for fund raising purposes.  There are multiple ways in which this can be accomplished.  We have helped churches and organizations with travel-connected fund raising for many years.
